I’m a thirty-something, stay-at-home, midwest mama of five kiddos ranging from middle school to preschool. I’m a hands-on kinda gal who would rather make it herself than buy it off the shelf … I say it’s being provident, my husband – well thankfully he knew exactly what he was marrying, oh so many years ago, and is a terribly good sport to support my many projects.
I sew, I craft, I photograph, I plan, I teach, I mentor, I dream, I dabble, I hope and occasionally I abandon and fail.
In 2007 I finally came to terms with the fact that I would never be able to personally use all the fabric I had in my fabric bins and promptly opened an Etsy shop to sell baby blanket and burp cloth bundles and themed pillowcases for older kids.
I’m still whittling down that stash of fabric and am grateful for every opportunity I have to pass on a gift of love and warmth to a new baby or a pillowcase to an excited child. Because I know what these items do for my own children, and it’s thrilling to know that they will be used and loved over and over and over again by a new family for years to come.
