Last year I discovered this project for BOO Blocks. My Halloween decor needed updating and this project fit the bill. I had the lumber in the shed and spray paint in the closet. I liked how this project uses digital scrapbook papers and elements rather than scrapbook paper and die cuts. One less trip to the store, which is a huge plus in my book. It also lets you easily create a custom look since you can manipulate the papers and elements with a photo editing program.
Most of these were made using sweetshoppedesign.com’s kit, memories (b and first 0 – background papers and embellishments, plus blue ribbon on last o) with a few additions from shabbyprincess.com’s kit, holiday sampler – Halloween portion (used on the last o – background paper, twill tape and trick or treat “stamp”). So if your Halloween decor needs a boost, this is a great quick project.
The letters were done in Photoshop, but could be done in a different program just as easily. Times New Roman (boring but they worked), the o’s are about 520pts, the b is slightly smaller to account for the height, all are beveled and embossed.
Are you making any new additions to your Halloween decor this year? Would love it if you shared what you’ve had your eye on making.
