Week 11:: Orange
The preschooler and I went on another adventure recently. A local farm has a little butterfly villa set-up to teach kids in a hands-on way about butterflies. Beautiful flowers, lots of eggs, caterpillars, and butterflies flying around us. It was beautiful and amazing. I’ve been to the Butterfly House in St. Louis a couple of times, but have never had someone available to teach us so much about butterflies. I so appreciated the owner teaching and showing the kids where to find the eggs, or pointing to a baby caterpillar – smaller than 1/4 inch in length – and tell me how old it was, or show us a caterpillar going into it’s J formation, and so much more.
